The Spring Festival is one of the largest and most lively traditional festivals in China. Commonly known as "New Year".
According to the Chinese lunar calendar, the first day of the first month is called Yuan Day, Yuan Chen, Yuan Zheng, Yuan Shuo, New Year's Day, etc., commonly known as the first day of the year, as well as the last day, the Zheng Dynasty, San Shuo, the third dynasty, the third beginning, the third yuan, etc., which means that the first day of the first month of the first month is the beginning of the year, month, and day. In modern folk customs, the Spring Festival is also called the New Year. In fact, the origin of the Chinese New Year is very different.
How did the "Year" come about?
There are two main folk sayings: One is that in ancient times, there was a ferocious monster called "year", which ran from village to house every 30th of the Chinese month, foraging for human flesh and killing living beings. One night on the 30th of the month, the "year" arrived in a village, coinciding with the two shepherd boys competing in the bull whip. "Nian" overheard the crackling whip in the air and fled in fright. He rushed to another village and looked at a big red dress at the door of the family. He didn't know what it was, and he was so scared that he turned around and ran away. Later, he came to a village, looked at the door of a family, only to see the bright lights inside, which made him dizzy, and he had to slip away with his tail. As a result, people were afraid of the "year", afraid of the red, afraid of the weakness of the light, they thought of many ways to resist it, such as setting off firecrackers, and gradually evolved into the custom of today's New Year.
